Social Security Disability Adds Compassionate Allowance Conditions

By Attorney Chris Sharry on March 3rd, 2014 in Compassionate Allowances

Social Security announced 25 new Compassionate Allowance conditions, bringing the total number of conditions to 225.  A dozen cancers have been included in this new list, which includes conditions that are generally considered the most serious disabilities.  The goal of the compassionate allowance program is to expedite the disability process to ensure that these claimants receive their benefit decisions within days instead of months or years.  For a link to the complete list, click here.
